In the late nineties, I trained in theatre studies with a focus on community and society. I became interested in working within the community to create bespoke multi-arts workshops for various groups. For the last 20 years I have been working at a grassroots level to help people build art experiences, some of which focused on creating celebrations or rituals exploring who they are.

As I grew older, I attended more funerals and became interested in the people running our end of life ceremonies. I felt that this was something I could offer. I feel passionately that the funeral ceremony is something of huge importance to us, and that it needs to be developed with the appropriate respect and dignity.

To this end I have acquired a Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy, so that I can help people create a ceremony that will truly serve as an appropriate and fitting memory, as well as a final goodbye, to the person they knew and loved.
